Image Notes: Memoirs of a Tree, liquidambar, Murray Ridge Neighborhood Park, San Diego, California, January?December 2000. I walk in a nearby park regularly and enjoy watching the seasonal changes in a grove of liquidambar trees, maybe because they remind me of the maples of my Minnesota childhood. I decided to draw a small part of a tree each week through the 52 weeks of one year to chronicle those changes.
